Cost for the Workshops - FREE - NOTE: The first 30 student who register will receive a FREE boxed sandwich meal, provided by a generous sponsor in memory of their loved one.
THANKS TO A GENEROUS DONOR IN REMEMBRANCE OF A LOVED ONE: The 1st 30 students to register will receive confirmation and further details will then be provided to you about your complimentary meal. If you do not receive an email stating that you are one of the first 30 to register you are welcome to bring your own food on campus. There are 3 Campus Dining Services available to meet your needs. Y4TL Summer Workshops are being offered to help prepare students to enter the 1st Y4TL Student Essay Contest (see link to essay contest rules for more details.). The contest is for students who reside or attend a school in Muskegon County. However, students, parents, and teachers from other counties are welcome and encouraged to attend the workshops. Students will be able to sharpen their writing and public speaking skills in a fun and engaging way outside of the classroom.
Dr. Paul JehlePresenter: Dr. Paul Jehle is the Executive Director of Plymouth Rock Foundation www.plymrock.org. Dr. Jehle currently serves on Plymouth's 2020 Commission in preparation for the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the Pilgrims. Dr. Jehle is a sought after speaker nationally and internationally. For over thirty years he has been a classroom instructor for grades 7-12 and is currently teaching high school.
He has traveled throughout the US and internationally educating adults and youth in academic disciplines, constitutional law, and government. He wears many hats, sometimes in his home town of Plymouth, MA (home of the Pilgrims) he can be seen wearing Pilgrim clothing and a hat, giving tours of the largest granite monument in the country standing 81 ft. tall. You can see Dr. Jehle in Kirk Cameron’s movie Monumental, which is highly recommended for every FAMILY in America to watch. He and his wife Charlene have two grown children. He’s humble, fun, engaging, and he knows how to make whatever he’s teaching interesting. Join us and see for yourself.
